RACHEL TREECE

CEO (AKA Chief  Happiness and General Creative Nut)

Rachel previously worked in the global financial services sector and has a vast experience in managing multi-cultural teams for FTSE and Fortune 100 companies. Rachel was awarded Most Inspiring Women in Entrepreneurship in 2012 and is a founding member of Dress for Success (Luxembourg) and Competence asbl as well as being a co-author of the book Unlock your Mind. She has regularly lectured on the University of London MBA programme.

 

Rachel is British and, in 2014 became naturalised Luxembourgish. She speaks four languages fluently. She is married to Keith, has a young daughter, lives in Luxembourg yet close to the airport fulfilling her passion for travel regularly.

 

Rachel’s passions: In addition to travel, Rachel enjoys keeping fit (to compensate for her love of all things bubbly and fine food), a frustrated artist – she loves looking at and creating PopArt and loves “the brand”.

DAVID MICALLEF

Chairman (Lives in Barcelona, need we say more?)

David retired from Banking after nearly 30 years in mainly senior positions, but most notably as Country Head and Board member of The Bank of New York Mellon Luxembourg. He was also the COO of the groups EMEA Trustee & Depository Business and member of numerous trade and industry associations and other boards, ranging from holding companies, a Trust company and the charity that he co-founded – Make-A-Wish Luxembourg.

 

David’s passions: David is well-known as a driver, both cars and businesses. David would like his legacy to be “that I helped make the financial services industry to be a better place to work.”

HELEN VALENTINE

COO (The number gal)

Helen Valentine is WELLBUSINESS™’s Chief Operating Officer and has 23 years experience working for international corporations. Helen has been based in Luxembourg since 2004 during which time she has run State Street’s Alternative Investment Services Luxembourg subsidiary and held a number of senior positions at JPM Bank Luxembourg including Head of Finance, Head of Trust, and board member of a number of JP Morgan investment companies. Prior coming to Luxembourg Helen worked across a broad cross section of industries including telecoms and consumer goods.


Helen’s passions: In addition to being utterly passionate about operational excellence and change management, Helen is married with three energetic children with whom she spends much of her free time either on the ski slopes, in the ice rink or side of rugby pitch.

CHRIS HOWORTH

SENIOR LECTURER, ROYAL HOLLOWAY, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON

Chris was a key member of Royal Holloway University of London’s management team for over 9 years. After early work in hospitality and banking, he graduated from RHUL in 1996 and 1997 and was responsible for the University of London MBA programme for many years. Chris has also been engaged with fts global for over 10 years.  Chris’s work with RHUL now focuses on organizational research and MBA teaching.  He has developed a portfolio of outside leadership roles and is Chair of a local secondary school and a governor of his local hospital Trust.

 

Chris’s passions: Chris is married with a young son.  He is passionate about good food and wine and, despite not having a driving licence loves fast cars!
